How do I make contributions?

You can order securely on this site, with ease. Alternatively, direct debit payments can be arranged by contacting the school office, who can either arrange to help you complete the online forms, or who can provide a paper form.

What about software?

One of the great benefits in using the school’s programme is that you can take advantage of the school’s software licensing agreements. This means that the device comes pre-loaded with all the software that children need to enhance their learning experience. Software updates will be automatically managed by the school’s ICT team, giving all pupils a secure and stable platform on which to conduct their studies.

Repairs

Devices acquired through the school’s scheme should be taken to the school’s internal ICT services team. If the school has taken a "hot-swap" facility, a like-for-like device will be available whilst it is being repaired. This will ensure your pupil’s learning experience is not affected whilst the warranty repairs are being undertaken. It is worth noting that the scheme’s insurance policy covers the devices for accidental damage.

Parental contribution

What are my monthly contribution amounts?

The monthly contributions amounts are decided upon by your school and the reseller, helping subsidise your school to enable it to deliver the most cost-effective learning technology for your child. Before committing to the agreement, you will be provided with the contribution amount that corresponds with the technology purchased for your child.

How do I make contributions?

You can place your order and submit direct debit information securely on this site. Alternatively, direct debit payments can be arranged by contacting the school office, which can either arrange to help you complete the online forms, or can provide a paper form. You can also choose to pay cash by credit or debit.

What is a parental contribution?

Parental contributions provide a means of sharing technology costs between parents or guardians and schools. The contribution amount, which can range from 0% to 100% of the total cost, and timing of payments, are decided upon directly between the school and parents or guardians.

Our unique and secure technology platform provides methods to collect parental contributions and we are able to provide online reporting to monitor contributions from parents. For more information please register.

Please note that parental contributions are strictly voluntary. Parental contributions do not form any obligation between the parents or guardians and our financing partner.

Can I return my child's device before I have paid all my expected contributions?

The school will advise you how long the programme will run. Typically this will be either two or three years. Once you have signed up to the programme and made the first contribution you have agreed to honour the payment period.

What is a parental contribution agreement?

This is the agreement between the school and the parent stating appropriate terms and usage conditions required to join the scheme. The aim is to protect the school from any misuse of the equipment provided under their scheme. A standard parental contribution agreement is available for ease of setting up a school, although we do allow wording adjustments if the school has specific requirements. Any changes are subject to approval by CPU. All parental contributions are an implied contract and not legally enforceable by the school.

How are the parental contributions collected?

How you collect contributions is up to you, however for your schools convenience we offer monthly direct debit collection service. If you choose to use this service, parents registering with the programme will be asked to enter their account details using our secure online direct debit processing system. We also provide options for collection dates to suit parents’ cash flow. From this point, CPU will collect payments each month until the programme schedule is complete. We also have in place a direct debit re-collection system should any issues arise while attempting collections. Our re-collection system also includes various methods of restructuring the payments if a parent is struggling with the contribution amount.

We provide online real-time comprehensive reporting to school auditor standards via our systems and MyGenieApp. (put link here). All collected contributions are paid over to the school by the 15th of the following month less our fees for the service. We only charge for successfully collected contributions.

We feel that the choice of parental contribution method is best left to the school, however we do offer a monthly direct debit collection system in which CPU will manage the collections on a monthly basis. Please register for more information.
